It took two years of chasing in the Great Plains to see my first tornado. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a killer. We were perfectly positioned a few miles east of Happy, Texas to view the monster. The wide tornado became occluded and turned into a beautiful stovepipe. We got a bit too close to it and were blasted with intense winds. Be sure to take a look at the videos below.
