In mid-September, I was sent to Boston for weather radar training and had the opportunity to stop off in Detroit for two days. It was good to see all my friends and family...especially since, after moving to Kwajalein, I didn't think I'd be back home until next year! The "usual suspects" got together for a picnic at Dodge Park. Amongst the onslaught by what seemed like thousands of bees, Kristin accidentally got stung.
